AMODA Yard Party

at the Viridian Vatican

On Sunday, December 22, the Austin Museum of Digital Art (AMODA) tossed a yard party in the front yard of the Viridian Vatican, Bruce Sterling's house in Austin. The party was basically DJs with piles of hardware and software plus boomin' speakers and a screen hung on the front porch (looking suspiciously like a bedsheet) backlit with a light-sensitive interactive display. A perfectly psychedelic extension of the annual, somewhat demented 37th Street explosion of gonzo Christmas light, the spirit of which is expanding further each year into the surrounding neighborhoods.
