We need more works on postindustrial design recommended by Viridian List members. The revenue from this Amazon Associates site goes toward the production of Viridian knickknacks.

From: Tucker Viemeister (Tucker@razorfish.com^^^^^*) Subject: 2000 Objects!

"Hay friends:
"I thought it would be a good idea for Yoshiko to collect 2000 objects for a show about the next Millennium!
"Now we have to collect them!
"Anyway, it's a great opportunity to make a design statement about the future (even if you're not a 'real' designer!!).

"see ya
"tucker

"ps: pass it on to anyone you think would be cool to include!"

"2000 Objects for the New Millennium Exhibition

"Gallery 91, located in Soho, New York City, is in the midst of organizing the first exhibition of the new year, titled '2000 Objects for the New Millennium.'

"We are requesting the participation of a variety of designers in Product, Graphic, Architecture, Fashion, Textile and Craft, etc. We are welcoming the participation of Magazine and Newspaper Journalists as well. We are inviting students and faculty of design schools from all around the world to participate in this event of the new millennium.

"We are looking for functional design objects. 2000 of the collected creations will be displayed in four periods throughout the year 2000 at Gallery 91.

"We will donate part of its profits to the nonprofit organization, IDNF (International Design Network Foundation), to support their future development. IDNF has been reaching out internationally to create a community of design students and professional designers. For further details of IDNF, please visit their website at http://www.designnet.org.

You may also find the application form at http://www.galley91.com.

After we receive the applications, we will contact the designer for samples of the work. Then a panel of juries will survey the entries and make a final selection for pieces to be exhibited. Gallery 91 will then contact the designers upon selection for further instruction. So please be reminded not to send the samples or actual work until contacted.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards,

Yoshiko Ebihara
Director
